Shafer
CAMERON — Funeral services for Arthur (Bud) Shafer, 76, of Cameron were held Saturday March 29, 2008, at Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron with the Rev. Tim Titsworth officiating. Burial followed in the Liberty Cemetery.
Mr. Shafer died Wednesday, March 26, at home after an extended illness.
He was born June 22, 1931, in Cameron to William E. and Ophelia Hux Shafer.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a Baptist.
Survivors include his son, William Arthur Shafer and wife, Pam, of Pendleton; daughter, Lela Nesbit and husband, Jessie of Cameron; two brothers, James Shafer of Gause and Wesley Shafer of Cameron; two sisters, Joann Tabor of Cameron and Cealy Coates of Kilgore; special friend, Buddy Langford of Alvin; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
