PLAINFIELD — Christine Clouse Hanneman Shrader 75, Plainfield, former Pendleton and Anderson resident, died April 1, 2008, at Clarian West Hospital, Avon.

She was born March 19, 1933, in Sparta, Tenn., and resided most of her life in Pendleton until 1991.

She was a manager at the Southdale Kmart for more than 20 years, retiring in 1992.

She was a member of the ALS Association and Women of the Moose Lodge, Greencastle. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, gardening and canning.

Survivors include five children, Gloria and Jan May of Gaston, Glenda and Roy Herrmann of Bakersfield, Calif., Barry and Terisa Clouse of Pendleton, Wanda Trueblood and Brent Delp of Poland, Ind., and Cathy and Dave Myers of Fort Wayne; sister, Donna Pauline Brown of Anderson; 21 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hiram Washington and Lucille Donna (Thomas) Harley; and husbands, Thurman Clouse and Jack Hanneman.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton with Eric Riddle officiating. Burial will follow in the Blountsville, Indiana Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour before services Saturday at Lahm Chapel, Pendleton.

Casket bearers will be Jan May Jr., Jason Herrmann, Andrew Herrmann, Kent McKenney, Barry Clouse, Jeremy Trueblood, Jesse Clouse and Roy Herrmann.
