Doris Spraker Akers, 90, of Cripple Creek died peacefully, Sunday July 30, 2023, at Laurel
Mountain Rehab and Nursing.

Doris was a loving wife, mother, and Granny to her family. She was a faithful member of
Rosenbaum Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church even though she was unable to attend services in the last years. Anyone who knew Granny knew love. She loved to have visitors and to talk with them about life and God. She lived a full life and enjoyed many days of watching her grandchildren play on her and Bill's Mountain. She was a miracle walking, she spent 6 months in the hospital after having brain surgery for a fall, then improved enough to be with us for another 10 years and meet her great-grandson Cooper. While she lived her final years in the nursing home she was a blessing to anyone she met and loved by all.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, French and Gladys Spraker, her beloved husband
of 61 years William "Bill" Akers, her daughter Diana Maxey and her twin great-grandsons Wyatt
and Walker Akers.

Doris is survived by her son, Randall Akers and Jennifer; her granddaughter, Maranda Davidson and Levi; her grandson, Austin Akers and Ashley; her great-grandchildren Kailey Davidson and Cooper Davidson; and many friends and family who loved her dearly.

Services will be held at Rosenbaum Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, on Wednesday August 2, 2023, service beginning at 2:00 PM with graveside to follow.

Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
