Mr. Manion, who was better known as "Uncle Dick", worked at the Wabash Railroad Co. roundhouse for 30 years. He leaves 161 descendants including 11 children, 40 grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren and 35 great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Manion, who was born July 18, 1856 in Wolverton county, ILL. married Mary Pruitt in 1873. She died in 1913 and in 1917 he married Mrs. Anna P. Bundy, who preceded him in death in 1938.
Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Mary D. Hendrickson, Mrs. Vesta Davis and William M. Manion, all of Decatur, Richard Manion of Moline, Roscoe Manion of Clinton, Charles Manion of Atwater, Ohio. Mrs. Dora Middaugh of Seattle, Wash, Eddie Manion of Atkin, Minn, George Manion of Xenia, ILL., Mrs. Jessie Gross of Tacoma Wash. and Norman Manion of Armo, Idaho.
He also leaves five step children, Harry, Edgar and Herbert Bundy, all of Decatur, Paris Bundy of Chicago and Mrs. Geneva McDaniels of Decatur; three brothers, Chester and H.P. Manion of Shobonier and George Manion of Berkeley, Calif; a sister, Mrs. Emily Duncan of Chicago and a half sister, Mrs. Margaret Peyton of Ramsey.
