She was born in Dover on Feb. 22, 1917 and resided in Denville for 55 years. She was employed at Llewellyn Farms and later worked for Picatinny Arsenal for 23 years while taking many college courses for further advancement in her position. She was an active member of St. Mary's Church.
As a concerned citizen, she belonged to the Silver Brigade and the Denville Seniors. She was an avid swimmer and was a member of the Sheraton Tower Health Club, where she made many friends and enjoyed many social functions. An excellent cook and baker, she always cooked wonderful meals for friends and family. She enjoyed a family of 13 siblings. Her husband, Steve, and eight siblings all died previously.
Survivors include her beloved son, Stephen Papson and his fiancee, Danielle Eganr her three sisters, Ann Ferriero, Mary Tucker, and Juliet Grande; her many nieces, nephews, and her grandnieces and grandnephews. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 1 at 9 a.m. from Norman Dean Home for Services, 16 Righter Denville, www.normandean.com. A 10 a.m. Liturgy of Christian Burial service will follow at St.
Mary's Church. Entombment will be at Restlaod Memorial Park, East Hanover.
