Funeral service for Aganetha Allert, 1043 53rd Avenue West, Vancouver and formerly of Yarrow was held February 19, 1976 at the Culloden Church, Vancouver BC. Mrs. Allert passed away February 13, 1976 at Vancouver General Hospital. Pastor B. Baier, Rev. D.B. Wiens and Rev. J. Dyck officiated at the service and interment was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were Frank Dahl, Cornelius Dyck, David Goertzen, George Fast, John Regher and Nick Harder. Aganetha Janzen Allert was born August 17, 1896 in Gnadenheim, Molotschna, South Russia.
She married Cornelius Allert on August 20, 1924 in Prangenau, Molotschna, South Russia and they immigrated to Canada in 1930. Ten children were born to them: Agnes, Mary, Justina, Katherine, Hilda, Cornelius (Neil), Helmut, John, Annie and Lillian.
She had lived in Canada for 46 years, 12 of them in Yarrow and 19 years in Vancouver.
She is survived by three sons: Neil, Abbotsford, Helmut, Kamloops and John at 100 Mile House; three daughters: Katherine, Hilda and Lillian of Vancouver; eight grandchildren and two sisters in Russia.
