She married Cornelius Allert on August 20, 1924 in Prangenau, Molotschna, South Russia and they immigrated to Canada in 1930. Ten children were born to them: Agnes, Mary, Justina, Katherine, Hilda, Cornelius (Neil), Helmut, John, Annie and Lillian.
She had lived in Canada for 46 years, 12 of them in Yarrow and 19 years in Vancouver.
She is survived by three sons: Neil, Abbotsford, Helmut, Kamloops and John at 100 Mile House; three daughters: Katherine, Hilda and Lillian of Vancouver; eight grandchildren and two sisters in Russia.
