Greenwood: Arge Clifton Addington, 87, died Sunday at the Gilmore Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born, reared and lived his entire life in the Bethlehem Community of Monroe County, Mississippi. He was a retired merchant. His wife, Allie (Kennedy) Addington, had died in 1978.
Services were at the Bethlehem Baptist Church with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Shirley Addington of Detroit, Alabama; two daughters, Gladys Denton of Leeds, Alabama and Gertrude Simmons of Smithville; seven grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren.
