Alberta Pauline was born in Rockwaterhole, Caldwell County, Texas. Her parents were William Wallace and Emma Jane West. Her grandfather was Col. Theodore Lee, Confederate soldier and patriot. She married Quintus Dabney "Q.D." Biggs on January 2, 1901. They lived on their farm in the McNeil community until 1920 when they moved to Luling. Together they had four children: Loren Dabney "Chango" Biggs, Roy Lee Biggs, Aubrey Ray Biggs, and a baby daughter-born December 23, 1914 - died January 2,1915.
