Marcella "Marcie" Baer, age 89, of Manitowoc passed away Monday, July 10, 2023, at Harborview Assisted Living in Manitowoc.
Marcella was born on October 11, 1933, in the township of Eaton, daughter of the late Henry and Hedwig "Hattie" (Mayer) Baer. She attended St. Gregory's School in St. Nazianz. Marcie worked in the past at the Herald Times Reporter and Lakeside Foods. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and the Writers of Manitowoc County.
Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law: Donald (Cathie) Baer, Kiel; Henry (Cathy) Baer, Valders; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Hattie Baer, two brothers: William Baer and Herbert Baer, two sisters and one brother-in-law: Mary Ann Baer, Catherine (Clarence) Mertz.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, 1114 S. 21st St., Manitowoc. The Rev. Jason Blahnik will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow at St. Gregory Cemetery, St. Nazianz. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of service at 10:00 am.
