Walter Fredrick (Freddie) Roberts, 23, of Pace, died Wednesday evening in an Escambia County hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Santa Rosa County. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Essie Lee McVickers Roberts of Pace; three brothers. Rev. Ralph Roberts of Dahomy, Africa, Hoyte Roberts of Maples, and Glen Roberts of Pace; a sister, Mrs. Lois Bowers of Dallas, Texas; maternal grandmother, Mrs. A. Z. McVickers of Pace. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery near Baker.
