Mrs. Hazel Collins Phillips King, age 75, of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on October 31, 1947 in Hazard, Kentucky. She was the loving daughter of the late Irven and Artie Feltner Collins. Hazel was raised in Deputy and was a graduate of Deputy High School. On June 26, 1975, Hazel was united in marriage to Ray M. Phillips. She first worked for Conn Organ as a line worker for several years. Hazel then began working for Grote Industries and later for Reliance Electric Company. On July 17, 2007, she was united in marriage to Glen Daniel King in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Hazel had a passion for decorating and her home and property was always immaculate. She loved her family heritage and history and served as caretaker of the Collins Family Cemetery near Deputy. Hazel died on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at 8:49 p.m. at the Thornton Terrace Health Campus in Hanover, Indiana.

Hazel will be missed by her sons, Troy Marion and his wife, Stephanie of Madison, Indiana; her daughter, Tricia Hamilton and her husband, Mark of Canaan, Indiana; her step son, Barry Phillips of Deputy, Indiana; her step daughters, Wenda Feutz and her husband, Ed of Dupont, Indiana, Yvonne Hock and her husband, Glenn of Brooksburg, Indiana, and Dee Dee Courtney and her husband, Shane of Bedford, Kentucky; her step son, James Daniel King of Madison, Indiana; her grandchildren, Tessa Rose Brinson, Taylor Brinson, Makenzie Marion, and Alex Marion; her great granddaughter, Rosalee Marion; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; her sisters, Gola Stacy of Oxford, Ohio, and Susie Sipe of Deputy, Indiana; her brother, Hansford "Hank" Collins of Hanover, Indiana; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Irven Collins, October 15, 1975, her mother, Artie Feltner Collins, died February 16, 1980, her brothers, Alfred Collins, Died March 23, 2001, Brack Collins, died January 11, 2005, H.C. Collins, died December 17, 2004, Damon Collins, died in 2002, Kencil Collins, died November 25, 1971, and Elson Collins, died November 10, 2015, her sisters, Bonnie Campbell, died July 14, 2013, Virgie Campbell, died February 20, 1994, and Oma Smith, died January 9, 2010.
