Alice Barraza's last words on April 22, 2023 as her family sprinkled her with "I love you's," and "thank you's," was "I love you more." These parting words reflected her life: loving others just a little bit more.Born on February 26, 1934 in Eloy AZ to rancheros G.H. and Juanita Gobea, she developed a hard work ethic, love of family and deep faith. The baby girl of 16 children, Alice was deeply cherished and it was this sense of cherishing that she gave to others.Alice wed Robert Barraza, in Tucson, having six children before moving to San Jose, CA. Alice was a member of St. Francis Cabrini parish (San Jose) and St. Clare Catholic Church (Roseville), before moving to Stockton CA her last five years.Alice treasured most her roles as wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, comadre, friend and church volunteer.Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Barraza, and son Larry Barraza. She is survived by Addie (Kevin) Creamer, Alpidia Barraza (Don Schwartz), Isidra Barraza (Debbie O'Sullivan), Irma (Rich) Wirick, Paul (Deborah) Barraza, and sister, Lucy Gobea.Family and friends are invited to the Rosary Service on 5/8/23. Visitation from 4-8pm, Rosary at 7pm at Darling & Fischer 615 N Santa Cruz Ave, Los Gatos. Funeral Mass at 10am on 5/9/23 at St Frances Cabrini, 15333 Woodard Rd, San Jose. Burial following at Los Gatos Memorial Park.
