In the churchyard is a grave stone to the memory of
Mrs. Freeland, a considerable owner of land, who died in
1741; but it would appear from the inscription that she
was also a free liver, for her memorial says -
"She drank good ale, strong punch, and wine,
And lived to the age of ninety-nine"
