Columbia, S.C. — Service for Doris Lucille Norman Turman, 79, will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at First Church of God, Covenant Road, with burial in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens.

Memorial may be made to the church or to the American Heart Association. Visitation will be Saturday 6-8 p.m. at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel.

Mrs. Turman, wife of the late Donald M. Turman, died Thursday, January 11, 2007. Born in Nichols, she was a daughter of the late George Foster Norman and Ethel Leah Lovin Norman.

She retired from Providence Hospital and was an active member of First Church of God.

Surviving are daughters, Gayle Turman of Columbia and Donna Amos and her husband, Greg, of Front Royal, Va.; grandchildren, Bethany Tremaroli of Florida, Ryan Amos and Joselyn Amos, both of Front Royal; great-grandchildren, Mia Tremaroli and Jack Tremaroli; and sisters, Alphie Huggins of Florida, Martha Crout of Columbia and Betty Miley of Florida.

Sister: Betty Jean Norman Miley

She was predeceased by daughter, Lorraine Turman Croft; grandchildren, Joshua Croft and Megan Croft; three sisters and seven brothers.
