She was a native of Jackson County and a member of Silas Gospel Tabernacle Church, Tuppers Creek. Surviving: sons, Jackie Burdette of Cross Lanes, Clarence Burdette of Charleston
, Keith Burdette of Matthews, N.C.; daughter, Carolyn S. Walters of Gay; brothers, Kit Skeens of Leon, Lawson Skeens of of Charleston, Alfred Skeens of California; sister Wilma Bowen of Cross Lanes; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren. Service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Vance officiating. Burial will be in Holmes Family Cemetery, Tuppers Creek
