Ronnie lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Ronnie was a dedicated family man who took great pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by step son, Darwin Stannard; his children, Tina (Andy) Cron, Ronnie (Juanita) Bowles, Jr., Dennis Bowles, and Susan Bryant; grandchildren, Dillon (Julia) Cron, Max Cron, Anna Cron, Christopher Bowles, Alisha (Anthony) Savage, David (Brittney) Bryant, Adam (Kayla) Bryant; two great-grandchildren, Harrison Savage, and Nova Bryant and former wife, Connie Bowles-Dulik. Ronnie was a beloved brother to Charles "Nick" (Mandy) Bowles, Randall Bowles, Don (Reah) Bowles, Danny (Diana) Bowles, Linda (Gus) Mathias, and Susie Halstead. Ronnie is survived by his sister-in-law, Carol Bowles, and brother-in-law, Sammy Hicks. He also leaves behind his cherished cat companion, Maggie Mae, and several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Goldie Bowles; brother, Raymond Bowles; sister, Jane Hicks; grandchild, Erik Spoon; nephew, Cory Bowles; and niece, Bobbi Staggs.
Ronnie's strong work ethic and dedication to his career were evident throughout his life. He worked at the Kroger Warehouse and was a proud member of the Teamsters Union #135, where he served as a Union Shop Steward. Ronnie was also a United States Army Veteran, serving from 1961 to 1963 in Germany as a Helicopter Sheet Metal Repair Specialist. His commitment to his country and the values he learned during his time in the service remained with him throughout his life.
A true sports enthusiast, Ronnie's interests included NASCAR, golf, and being an avid fan of basketball and football. He also took great pleasure in filling out NCAA brackets and watching the NFL drafts, always eager to discuss the latest games and players with friends and family. When not involved in sports, Ronnie enjoyed working in his vegetable garden sharing his bounty with neighbors and family. He enjoyed playing Texas Hold 'Em, darts, and participating in dart tournaments. In his later years, Ronnie developed a deep love for animals, especially his cats who were his constant companions. Ronnie will be remembered as a friendly and caring individual who brought joy and laughter to everyone he encountered. His warm personality, infectious smile, and unwavering support for his loved ones will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A private graveside service will be held on Methodist Cemetery.
