She was born Jan. 11, 1942, in Kane the daughter of the late Andrew and Alice (VanHorn) Petruney.
Marianne was the head cook at the Kane Elementary School for many years and was a member of the United Methodist Church. She also greatly enjoyed camping, crafts,spending time with her family and her dog Trixie.
She is survived by one daughter, Kelle Bari; two sons, Dan (Lauren) Johnston and Todd (Karen) Johnston; three granddaughters, Stacey Powell, Amanda Vessel and Meagan Johnston; three grandsons, Bryan Johnston, Matthew Bari and Steven Bari; three great-granddaughters, Sydney Powell, Shaelee Powell and Zellie Johnston and one great-grandson, Stone Powell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Johnston one daughter, Shelle Johnston, a sister Terri Asel and a son-in-law Michael Bari.
Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
