Grandson of the late Gus Kneessi of Washington, D.C. Distinguished alumni of the U. of Illinois.

Veteran U.S. Navy. Businessman in his own right in the tradition of the Kneessi family of Washington, D.C.

The father of Clinton was cremated but it is not known for sure where his remains ended up. The funeral home in Oregon swears Walters ashes were left at the cemetery for burial while the cemetery said their records show that the ashes were returned to the funeral home.

His mother died in Chicago in 1931 and was cremated. Her ashes were scattered somewhere in the 90+ acres of the now historic Graceland cemetery in Chicago. There is no cenotaph there for her.

His stepmother vanished from this planet while living in Oregon in the mid-1950s.

The ashes of his 2nd wife were placed upon his grave after she died (she was not buried with her 3rd husband, who is also buried in this cemetery). While her listing on Findagrave shows yet another 1st name and her married last name from her 3rd husband, her actual maiden name was used below that of his 1st wife's name on the back of Clinton's marker for reasons known only by the cemetery at that time.
