Thomas C. Bailey passed away at 4 o'clock Monday evening at his home in Green Hill. He had been ill the last three weeks and his death was caused by the infirmities of age. He was a son of Horatio and Sarah [Sally]Bailey and was born in Ohio on October 26, 1826. He was married on June 22, 1848 to Miss Mahala Mears, who with one daughter Louella Myers survives. Mr. Bailey was one of the oldest citizens in that part of Warren County. he was engaged in farming for a number of years and later was engaged in mercantile pursuits. He was postmaster at Green Hill for twenty years. He was a member of the United Brethren Church and the Masonic fraternity. He was an honest and upright man and enjoyed the confidence and respect of the community. He was a useful citizen, energetic and progressive, and was an advocate of everything that was calculated to benefit the community in which he lived. He made a good record as a citizen and passed away rich in the respect of his neighbors. The funeral will be conducted this morning at 10:30 o'clock. Rev. B.B. Phelps will officiate and burial will be made in the Davis cemetery. The following gentlemen will act as pallbearers. Dr. Vick, T.C. Moore, C.W. Boneyer, Jacob Mann, James A.
