Sergeant Horatio Bailey, Captain McNemar's Rifle Co, 1st Bn, 2nd Reg, Ohio. In 1871 he applied for and received a pension for his service in that war. Before moving to Warren County,Indiana, he had lived in Ross and Pickaway Counties in Ohio. His first marriage in 1807 was to Sally Hurst, second marriage to Eliz. Jane (Wakeman)Remick.

Horatio Bailey, aged 93 years, residing in Medina Township died last Thursday and the remains were interred the day following. Though very old, Mr. Bailey was quite active and frequently went to Lafayette in a two-horse wagon driving and attending to the team himself. His labors are over and the old man has entered the haven of rest.
