AGED LAKE VICTOR CITIZEN PASSES ON
At the ripe old age of almost 89 years, William Risinger died at his home near Lake Victor Friday night, December 30. Funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon by Rev. A. V. Feild, assisted by the Rev. Jasper Chambers of Izoro. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Risinger was a native of Illinois and was born on February 1, 1844. At the age of three years, he was brought to Texas by his parents and for many years he had lived in Burnet County. He was a successful stockraiser and was one of the original stockholders of the Peoples Nationl Bank of this city. He was a good man, one who stood for the right and always took his stand on that side. During his long residence in this section, he formed a wide acquaintance, and all who knew him honored and respected him.
Mr. Risinger was twice married. Seven children were born to the first union and two of these survive: J. M. Risinger of Edinburg and Mrs. F. A. Ramsey, Jr., of Houston. To the second marriage were born eleven children, ten of whom with the mother, survive. The children are: Mrs B. A. Fuller of Lampasas, Mrs. H. A. Flach of Beaumont, Mrs. T. J. Ray of Edinburg, Horace Risinger, John Risinger, Mrs. R. V. Barrett, G. H. Risinger, Mrs. Everett Kenan and Mrs. H. E. Ellebracht of Lake Victor and Joe E. Risinger of Agua Dulce. There are forty-five grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
