Carolyn Sue Hartsfield, of Winnsboro, Texas, went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2023, after a lengthy illness and a brief stay in Whispering Pines Care Center. No more pain, suffering, or tears in Heaven. Carolyn was born on November 18, 1944, in Winnsboro to Travis Junior and Frankie Lee (Jordan) Brewer. She was the second of nine children, however, if you asked her siblings, she ruled as number one. Always in charge, Carolyn led her brothers and sisters in all events and gatherings. She did it her way. Carolyn was a 1963 graduate of Winnsboro High and was a member of Tinney Chapel United Methodist Church. Ms.Hartsfield worked many years under the Bell Telephone Company umbrella. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Travis Junior and Frankie Lee Brewer; daughter Connie Cason; and sister-in-law Corinne Brewer. She is survived by sisters Patricia Yerke, Kathy Brown and husband Tommy, Donna Futral and husband John, Tessie Corbitt and husband Jim; brothers Jerry Brewer and wife Brenda, Gerald Brewer and wife Kathy, Billy Brewer, Tommy Brewer and wife Janis; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. A celebration of Carolyn's life will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at the Tinney Chapel United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Michael Moore and Sarah Doke officiating. The family will have a visitation at the church prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A private burial will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shady Grove Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 861, Winnsboro, Tx. 75494. The family wishes to thank the staff of Whispering Pines Memory Care Unit and the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice with special appreciation to Patricia Peoples.
