Elgin, Ill. -- William D. Wasinger, 81, a former Ellis County resident, died Saturday, Dec. 22. He was born Feb. 4, 1903 in Ellis County, the son of Anton and Anna (Gottschalk) Wasinger.
He married Elizabeth Bieker; she died Jan. 15, 1975.
He was a retired construction contractor and a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church; Dundee, Ill.
Survivors include three sons, Elmer, Plato Center, Ill., Harold, Bartlett, Ill, and Wilfred, Dundee, Ill.; one daughter, Virginia Eggen, Dundee; one brother, Tony, Paramount, Calif.; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Cemetery, Schoenchen, with Father John Poell officiating. Friends may call from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and until funeral time Thursday at Brock's North Hill Chapel.
