Winfred "Byrd" Evans Jr., son of Winfred Evans Sr. and late Catherine Evans, was born on August 10, 1969 Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on March 24, 2021.

Byrd received his education at Patterson High School in Baltimore, Maryland. He became employed on a full-time basis at Anderson Body Shop and Service Center. Long after Byrd became an entrepreneur while opening his own furniture and bedding company. Byrd was baptized and a member of Pleasant Zion Baptist Church where he loved to sing gospel, as well as a member of Faith United Baptist Church.

Byrd had a passion for music which in turn, lead him to become a well-known singer, and later belonging to numerous gospel and R&B groups, before starting a new brotherhood gospel group named U-Turn which also played a big part in his life. Byrd loved to sing, whenever he would sing Byrd would always touch everyone's heart with his breath-taking vocals.

He was a fan of the Baltimore Ravens, one of his favorite sports teams. If anyone knew Byrd, they would know that one of his favorite hobbies was getting on his jet skis and being in the water. Byrd loved to travel and have fun, especially going to Ocean City to relax. Byrd was a family man that always enjoyed family gatherings.

Byrd was preceded in death by his grandmother Marjorie Evans; son Anthony Brown; aunt Bridgette Evans; and his nephew David Evans Jr,.
