The Cahaba Cemetery was destroyed by vandals, and Indiana's original tombstone is gone. Also lost in the vandalism was the marker of her uncle Walter Crenshaw, who died at Cahaba in 1830.
In 1996, I gathered donations from relatives to help place a memorial marker in our Crenshaw family cemetery on The Ridge, for both Indiana and her uncle Walter Crenshaw. I personally ordered the marker, a "baby size" granite slab, and had it installed.
