The Atchison Champion, Friday, 30 March 1906
under ARRINGTON ITEMS
We regret to announce the death of one of our esteemed citizens, Albert Artman, who was born and raised in this town. His disease was of a lingering nature but he bore it with great patience. His funeral was preached at the Christian church by Rev. Richards of Effingham. The remains were laid to rest in the Moore cemetery one mile north of Larkin. He leaves a wife and one child to mourn his loss. Owing to the condition of the roads it was almost impossible to get to the cemetery; some in the procession were compelled to turn back and the undertaker had to leave the hearse at a farm house and go home on horseback.
