Marcia Ann Barber was born to George Howard Barber and Lillie Susan Casey Barber
, December 21, 1935, in Edmond, OK. She was raised on the family farm west of Edmond, graduated from Edmond High School, and attended Central State College there.

May 29, 1955, Marcia Barber, and Donal Earl Delp wed in Edmond, and resided there for two years; during which time two sons were born. In 1957, Marcia and her family relocated to the Panorama City area to further promote Don's teaching career. It was here they made their home encountering many wonderful friends, and were especially embraced by Harold, Vi, and Claire Bates. From 1962 through 1968, two additional sons and two daughters were born.

During the years to follow Marcia devoted her life to her family, seizing every opportunity to encourage, nurture, and support her husband and six children. As Marcia's family endeavors increased, so did her heartaches. In 1975, she lost her firstborn son, Brady Earl Delp, to a tragic accident. Only three years later to face another devastating loss when her husband, Donal Earl Delp, passed away at the early age of 46. Now, with her oldest living son, Bryan, overseas in the Navy, coping with her losses and assuming the role of a single mother of four adolescents, Marcia was forced to pursue employment and learn to drive. Although it was not her choice to work outside the home, she took great pride and enjoyment in her job at Smith-Barney.

Marcia's sweet spirit touched many lives, and she was loved by all who knew her. We will miss her dearly.
