William Knight, son of Captain Johnathan Knight,Sr. and Elizabeth Hannah Tucker. Born 1806 in McIntosh Co., Ga. Married Mary Burnett,born 1808 in Georgia. Mary was the daughter of Daniel Burnett Sr. and Hannah Gornto.

William and Mary had at least eight children:

William died in Lake County, Florida at the age of 50. His body was brought back to Clay county (then Duval county) and laid to rest in the family cemetery, now known as Fowler Cemetery, Middleburg, FL.
