Gavin Allison & Jean Wallace were not his parents. We have DNA evidence that Abner was not related to them. 1/24/2015
His gravestone is missing from the cemetery which is in fair condition. (4-13-08)

1-24-2015: We now have DNA evidence that Abner Allison was not related to Gavin Allison.
It is difficult to determine where Abner was born as the boundary lines in SW Pennsylvania changed from VA to PA and the county lines kept changing.
Abner moved from the Carmichaels area of Greene Co PA to New Lisbon OH in 1807.

Father of Nancy Campbell Allison, who was the mother of President William McKinley. Nancy Allison McKinley #6662235 buried in West Lawn Cemetery, Canton OH.
Wife: Anne Campbell (buried at Niles City Cemetery) The historical society has preserved her original marker at the museum and replaced it with a new marker in the cemetery.
Occ: farmer, later managed a hotel in Lisbon

The original log frame is now covered with weather boarding, but the house is as it was in 1808. (Another descendant reports that the house has been torn down)
