Obadiah Allison, Esq., one of Morrow county's oldest and most honored citizens, died at his home on Iberia street, in Mt. Gilead, on Monday afternoon last, at the mature age of 74 years, after a protracted illness of several weeks.

The deceased has been a resident, and an active business man of Morrow county, for a great many years, and is well known in business circles throughout this and adjoining counties.

His children were all present during his last illness, with but a single exception. The Masonic order of this place, took charge of the last ceremonial rites, and the remains were interred in the Mt. Gilead cemetery, a large concourse of friends and relatives attending.

The sympathies of the press are cordially extended to the bereaved widow and many sorrowing friends in this, their deep affliction."
