Died, at 2 o'clock p.m., Saturday, July 21, 1900, at his home, 421 West Canedy street, Jacob Petre, aged 55 years, 9 months and 28 days. Mr. Petre was born in Germany and had resided in Springfield several years. He was a broommaker and for a number of years had been in feeble health.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jennie Petre. The funeral will be held this afternoon at the Seven Day Adventists church. The interment will be made in Oak Ridge cemetery.
