Mandilla (Allison) McDonald, daughter of the late Robert W. and Mary Ann (Allen) Allison was born near Pleasantville, December 15, 1864 and died of Uremic Poisoning near same place April 29, 1921, aged 56 years, 4 months, 14 days. She and John McDonald were married Sept. 29, 1886 by the Rev. E. S. Hassler at St. Clairsville. To this union were born 5 daughters, namely, Jennie, wife of Rev. Orlando G. Tye of Johnstown, Hattie, wife of Edgar H. Hartle, Annie, wife of Lloyd J. Smith, Nora, wife of Harry Mock both of Central City, and Nellie at home. Besides her family she is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. She was converted and joined church when 14 years of age, and lived an exemplary Christian life. She was highly esteemed in the community in which she lived, had a loving and kind disposition and found her greatest joy in serving others. Funeral services wee conducted Sunday morning, May 1, in Mt. Union United Evangelical Church of which she was a member, in charge of her pastor, Rev. S. B. Rohland.
