Miriam A. Roberts, 68, of Benton passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Jan. 24, 1955, in Florence, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Bascom R. and Floride Lunn Andrews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Valerie Roberts; and brother, Richard Andrews.
Miriam grew up in Darlington, S.C., and graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina.
She married Todd Roberts, her husband of 40 years, in 1982. Together, they created a life full of love and family memories in Benton, where they lived for 32 years. She worked as a medical technologist until she became a stay-at-home mom after her children were born. Miriam led a life committed to putting others first and was a fierce advocate for her children and husband. She was an avid reader and loved comic books when she was younger and horror novels and movies later in life. She was an excellent cook who loved to prepare delicious meals for her family.
Miriam is survived by her husband; sons: David and Brian; brother, Marion Andrews; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and caring friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Miriam at a later date.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Charles L. Cease Funeral Home, 634 Reyburn Road, Shickshinny.
