He spent his youth in various locations in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Arkansas. He later lived in Tribbey and then moved to Tecumseh following his marriage. He lived four years at Tecumseh Sunset Estates.
He married Ila Lee Miles on August 23, 1935 in Tecumseh.
Mr. White worked for Cooper Furniture and Undertaking and Hardesty Plumbing. He was a member of Pipe Fitters Local 344 for 56 years. He was a member of Highland Church of Christ and Tecumseh Golden Age Center.
Mr. White was preceded in death by his wife in 1989, his parents and four brothers.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Gordon and Joann White of Perkins, Carl and Carolyn White of Choctaw; daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Eddy Oaker, Tecumseh; daughter, Donna Burlison, Tecumseh; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Lloy Dean of Seminole, D.B. and Sue White of Seminole, Burney and Wilma White of Shawnee, Louise White of Tecumseh, Alice McLemore of Fairfield, California, sisters Aleene Barnes of Tecumseh, Marguerite Wilson and her husband, Hobart of Seminole and Oleta Tiny McFatridge of Ardmore, twelve grandchildren, twenty two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. today at Cooper Funeral Chapel of Tecumseh with Bob Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Highland Church of Christ Retirement Center of Tecumseh.
