Eula M. Jennings, 95, died Wednesday, March 12, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, on Monday, March 17, 2008, 4:00 PM with Reverend (Dr.) James C. Elder officiating. Private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 16, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Mrs. Jennings was born in Jackson, Mississippi, the daughter of the late James A. Martin and Mary Neva Fortenberry Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter R. Jennings Ð Tax Attorney, former Regional Supervisor for the Internal Revenue Service and a Veteran of World War II. Also, she was preceded in death by her brothers James A. Martin, Jr. (POW), and Lendolph Martin. Eula Jennings attended Millsap's College in Jackson. Also, she graduated in music through private instruction and gave public solo piano concerts from a young age. She worked as a commercial model in Jackson and a fashion model in Biloxi, Mississippi, and Dallas, Texas. She met and married Mr. Jennings in Jackson just prior to World War II. After the war, they moved to Atlanta, and then Columbus where she became a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Amoma Class, Cradle Roll and various other church activities. She loved flowers and was a member of the Garden Club, where she won numerous awards. Survivors include one daughter, Terea Jennings - Wainwright and her husband, Frank Wainwright, of Norwalk, CT
