Odie Mack Lofton, 85 passed away May 17, 2016. He was born to Vonnie Cassie and James Euless Lofton in Finger, TN. Odie was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Mack Lofton, sister, Jonelle King and brother, James Lofton. He leaves his beloved wife of almost 65 years, Mary Lou Lofton of Hernando, four sons, Chat Alan Lofton of Southaven, Michael Dewayne Lofton of Sardis, Kevin Randolph Lofton of Corinth and Kenon Shane Lofton of Hernando, brother, Frank G. Lofton of Fort Meyers, FL, thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Odie was a Teamsters Union member, truck driver for 38 years and drove over the road for Gordons Transports and Consolidated Freightways and worked as a business agent for Teamsters Local 667 in Memphis. He served honorably in the TN Air National Guard, the U. S. Navy and the Merchant Marines. Odie loved old country music and was in the group that brought country music to Hernando for many years. His wishes were for everything to be private and that no services are held. Odie's wish was to be remembered by all his friends and loved ones as he was, when they knew him at some point in life, not as he was in death.
