Jonelle Lofton King, of Memphis, departed for her Eternal Home on July 8, 2015 at the age of 92. Jonelle was a Gold Star Mother, losing her only son Marine Cpl Lonnie R King during the Vietnam War. She was preceded in death also by her parents Euless and Vonnie Moore Lofton, her daughter Sandra King Anderson, and her brother, Coach Jim Lofton of Georgia. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Gayle Land; two grandsons, Joseph Kian Anderson and Lonnie Michael Baker; two great-grandchildren, Shawn and Renee Baker, and two brothers, Mack and Frank Lofton. Jonelle was very successful in her 48 year career in the insurance industry and retired from Treadwell & Harry Insurance Agency. She served as President of the Insurance Women of Memphis organization. She was also quite active in Parents without Partners, where she served as Associate Zone Administrator. She was a member of Gracewood Baptist Church and cherished her years in The Shining Lights Class there.
