HELEN R. CROES

Miss Helen Robertson Croes, daughter of the late Rev. Robert and Helen Robertson Croes, and sister of the late J.J. R. Croes (a distinguished civil engineer) died at her home, 205 North Broadway, yesterday afternoon, about 5 o'clock; she suffered a stroke of paralysis last Saturday.
Miss Croes, who was 77 years old, was born in New Brunswick. She had been a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church for 40 years. She took an active interest in Church and hospital work here, being a member of the Board of Managers of the Homeopathic Hospital and of St. John's Riverside Hospital. Until about six months ago she was engaged in the activities of the Fortnightly Club and the Monday Club; she was a member of the American Scenic and Historic Preservation Society.
Her nearest relative is a cousin, Mrs. Richard Kingsman Cautley, of New York City.
Funeral services will be held in St. Paul's Church tomorrow afternoon.
