Miss Mary R. Croes, sister of the late J.R. Croes, died at her residence, 205 North Broadway, this city, about 6 o'clock this morning, after an illness of one week, from bronchitis. She had been in invalid for a year, suffering from rheumatic gout.
Miss Croes was born in Geneseo, N.Y. The family consisting of her mother and two sisters, came to Yonkers, and settled at 205 North Broadway, 34 years ago. Miss Croes was a consistent member of St. Paul's Episcopal church, and a regular attendant at the services there as long as she was able. She was president of the Woman's Auxiliary of the Board of Missions, and was also well known in literary and philanthropic circles.
The mother died 25 years ago and the brother one year since. The only survivor is the sister, Miss Helen R. Croes. The funeral will take place Monday afternoon with services at the home.

[There is a item in the Yonkers Statesman on Sept 30 1907, that a window in St. Paul's Episcopal was dedicated to her memory. It gave the inscription as MARY ROBERTSON CROES, a MEMBER of THIS PARISH, 1872-1907; and the 1880 Census gives her DOB as 1834; her mother's name was Helen.]
