Charles A. Moore, 89, of North Little Rock, passed away on April 11, 2023 after a short illness. Charles was born June 21, 1933 to Bill and Gladys Moore in the Fairbanks community outside Quitman, Arkansas.

After graduating from Quitman High School, he studied for a year at the Arkansas State Teacher's College in Conway. He was a Korean War veteran attached to the Fifth Armored Division until 1956. After his service he moved to Little Rock where he met Ruth Ann (Davis), the love of his life. They married in 1958, going on to have three children.

He retired from Sears Auto Center in 1992 after a 30-year career. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bird hunting, bowling, and his beloved Arkansas Razorbacks.

He enjoyed an active working retirement, first at Chenal Country Club, then delivering cars throughout the south. His love of travel and "looking at the countryside" made delivering cars a perfect fit.

He was a devoted husband, father, and Pepaw. He attended Lakewood United Methodist Church where he and Ruth were members of the George Martin Sunday school class.

Charles was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Sidney and Billy Jr., and two sisters, Faye and Mae.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Moore; three children, David A. Moore (Cammie) of Conway, Debra Holmes (Doug) of North Little Rock, and Mark Moore (Cathy) of Jacksonville; two grandchildren, Daniel Holmes of Raleigh, NC, and Anna Holmes of Little Rock; one sister, Marjorie Volpert (Joe) of Papillion, NE; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorials can be made to Lakewood United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be at 12:00 PM, Monday, April 17, 2023 at Lake wood United Methodist Church, service will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander.
