Rodney "Babby" Babrick, 57, passed away during the early morning hours of April 8, 2023. He was born in Washington on April 24, 1965, to Billy Joe and Eva Mae (Cannon) Babrick. On June 10, 1989, he married Jamey Edwards Babrick, and she survives.

A 1983 graduate of Washington Catholic High School, Rodney later graduated from Vincennes University with two Associate Degrees, Radio Broadcasting and Drafting. He was employed at Structure Point in Indianapolis where he was a foreman.

A devoted father and husband, Rodney loved sharing stories about his school years at Washington Catholic and working at Kmart where he met the love of his life who he would later marry, Jamey. He dearly loved his sons, Jakob and Daekota, and always told stories about them to anyone who would listen.

A man of many interests, he loved fishing, and was an avid KISS and Cubs fan. When the Cubs won the World Series, it was like he won with them. He was a fun-loving man -- always kind and goofy. He loved making people laugh; it was like he never met a stranger. Everyone fell in love with his personality. Rodney was a devout Catholic, a Eucharistic Minister and a lecturer at St. Mary's, and later at St. Peter's, where he also played St. Nicholas during Christmas.

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Joe and Eva Mae Babrick; and his brother, Fredrick Babrick.

Interment will be in the St. John Cemetery in Washington.
