Funeral services for Rex A. Powell, 83, of Jamestown, LA will be held Friday, February 4, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in New Providence Primitive Baptist Church, Ringgold, LA under the direction of Rockett Funeral Home, Ringgold, LA. Officiating will be Elder Joe Asbell and Elder Keith Hammett. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until service time at New Providence Primitive Baptist Church.

Rex was born June 25, 1938 in Fryeburg, LA and passed away at his home in Jamestown, LA on January 31, 2022. He was a deacon of New Providence Primitive Baptist Church. Rex was retired from the United States Air Force and the Federal Aviation Administration.

He was preceded in death by a son, Devon Powell and all of his brothers and sisters.

Left to cherish his memory include his children, Ray Powell, Karen Scarborough, Eric Bednarsky, Julie Taff, and Kirk Bednarsky; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the compassion and care provided to their loved one by Elaine, Sandra, Cindy and Debbie.
