Thelma Powell Easley, 90, passed away Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008.

Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at Rockett FuneralHome in Ringgold, La. Burial follows in Providence Cemetery in Ringgold.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

She was born Aug. 19, 1918. She was born and raised in the Fryeburg community and graduated from Jamestown High School. She was a long time resident of New Boston.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Winston Easley; her parents,Marvin and Lucy Powell; three brothers, Homer Powell, Sylvester Powell and Sweet Pea Powell; and three sisters, Leta Teysko, Mildred Franton, and an infant sister, Melba Joy.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Mack Easley and his wife, Bonnie,of Texarkana; her daughter, Shirley Kirkpatrick and her husband, Howard, of Paris; two brothers, James Powell and his wife, Mary Niell, of Sibley, La.
and Rex Powell and his wife, Cora, of Jamestown, La.; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Powell, Jason Powell, Caleb Basinger, ClintPowell, Luke Powell, and Ronnie Reno.
