Cynthia L. Lawson April 3, 1960 - April 5, 2023

Born 3 April, 1960 in Monticello, Drew County, Arkansas to Milford Laron Barnes and Edna Marie Crews Barnes, passed from this life to be with her LORD and Savior Jesus Christ on 5 April, 2023 (age 63) at the Drew Memorial Hospital ER. Her husband Thomas C. Lawson Sr. and son Jason Barnes was with her at the bedside.

Cindy was a Baptist and a strong believer in the Lord and relied on him to help her make it through the day. Cindy was a loving wife to her husband Thomas C. Lawson during their 36 years of marriage. A caring and loving mother of her son Jason Barnes, and family love for her parents, brothers and sisters and other family members.

Cindy suffered through many physical ailments for many years and finally had to suffer through having cancer which really took a toll on her life, but she managed to keep going with the help of her JESUS. She managed to keep a smile on her face when she talked with you and continually mustered up the strength to walk around in her yard outside picking up things. Cindy loved the out of doors and her pets.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents Milford and Edna Barnes, one sister, Brenda Gayle Barnes Sparks; two brothers Jan Lee Barnes and Julius Paul Barnes and an aunt, Janey Lou Barnes.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Thomas Carroll Lawson Sr., her son Jason Barnes, both of Monticello, AR. and stepson Thomas C. Lawson Jr. and wife Christina, granddaughter, Breana, and grandson Keth, all of Thornton, AR..; two brothers, Milford Barnes Jr. and wife Shelley Diann of Monticello, AR. and Gary Wayne Barnes and wife Judy of Warren, AR.; two sisters, Nelda Carol Barnes Smith of Wilmar, AR.; and Ann Marie Barnes Byrd and husband Russell of Warren, AR.

Cindy requested her body be cremated and ashes to be spread at home. Cremation to be handled by Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held for family, relatives and friends at 2:00 PM at the Monticello Baptist Temple on Highway 425 South. Pastor Andy Connard officiating.
