ATLEANER WILBURN "LENA" GRIFFITH, IN Atleaner Wilburn "Lena" age 88 of Griffith, formerly of East Chicago, IN passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Community Hospital in Munster. She is survived by seven daughters: Henrietta Snellings, Eva Wilburn and Emma (George) Hall all of East Chicago, Debra Wilburn of Griffith, Augustine Jackson and Mattie (Erick) Randolph both of Indianapolis, Ruthie Matthews of Nashville, TN; three sons: Curtis Wilburn and James Wilburn both of Merrillville, Oscar Wilburn Jr. of Griffith; 22 grandchildren; 72 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Wilburn Sr.; sons: R.Q. Wilburn and Donald Wilburn; grandchildren: Dyron Tolbert, Toriano Wilburn, Robert Wilburn and Sherman Edwards. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 11, 2015 11:00 a.m. at Greater First Church International, 4862 Olcott, East Chicago with Bishop Tavis Grant officiating. Interment at Fern Oaks Cemetery, Griffith. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at Greater First Church International from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., prior to the funeral service. Hinton & Williams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
