GLINES (Special) -- The ward chapel was crowded to capacity on Monday at 12 o'clock when funeral services were held for Nathan Hunting, who died Friday, December 24, after a lingering illness. Many beautiful flowers covered the casket and banked the rostrum.
Musical numbers were rendered by a double mixed quartet composed of Mrs. Belle Perry, Mrs. Lela Batty, Mrs. Maryetta Wardle, Mrs. Margueritte Curtis, John and Lewis Hodgkinson, Herb Bell and Cecil Billings, accompanied Miss Enid Reid and sang the following numbers, "Sweet Hour of Prayer," "Oh My Father," and "Till We Meet Again. Mrs. Batty sang, "Face To Face."
The speakers were Earnest Eaton and Archie Johnson with closing remarks by Bishop John B. Eaton. They all spoke words of consolation to the bereaved wife and children and told of the wonderful character of the deceased.
The opening prayer was offered by Bishop Lavell Manwaring of the Naples Ward and the benediction by Martin T. Fletcher.
The pallbearers were Brandon, Lyle and Henry Hunting, Charles and Orval Allred and Adolph Fillingim, all grandsons of the deceased. Interment was made in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Swain Funeral Home. G. H. Southam of Naples dedicated the grave.
