Reulo Cruz, Jr. was born September 24, 1945 in Poteet and went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2016 in San Antonio at the age of 70. Jr., who worded hard all of his life, was a devoted, caring, and generous person. His family was vey important to him and it was apparent by the love he had for them. He was preceded in death by his mother Juanita S. Cruz, brothers Gilbert and Rudy Cruz and grandson Ricky Cruz.
Jr. is survived by his wife Corena, his father Reulo Cruz, Sr., four sons, Roby Robert, Rene and Ruben Cruz; two daughters in law; 23 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
"God saw he was getting tired and a cue was not to be. So He put His arms around him and whispered, "Come with Me." With tearful eyes we watched him suffer and saw him fade away. Although we loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best." Love, Corina
Services are to be held February 25 at Delgado Funeral Home located at 319 W. Mitchell, San Antonio. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Funeral procession will depart from Delgado Funeral Home on the 26 of February at 9:30 a.m. Church services will be held at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church located at 907 West Theo Ave. in San Antonio followed by interment at San Jose Burial Park located at 8235 Mission Road.
