William 'Bill' Dye, 77, of Vacaville, CA, passed away Monday, 22 September 2014 at his residence.
Born 5 January 1937, at Fort Benjamin Harrison, he was the son of Byferd and Edna Moorman Dye
Bill joined the U. S. Air Force in 1956, were he served his country with pride for 22 years. While stationed outside Madrid, Spain in 1963, he met and married Aurora de Mingo. his beloved wife of 44 years. She preceded him in death.
After retiring from the Air Force, he joined the United States Postal Service where he worked until his retirement in 2000. Bill loved traveling, golfing, working with his hands and spending time with his family.
Survivors include two daughters, Christine and Tamara Dye, siblings, Jacqueline Schultheis and the Rev. James Dye, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Bryan-Braker Funeral Home, 1850 W. Texas St., Fairfield, California, followed by a committal service with full military honors at Fairmont Memorial Park, Fairfield bryanbarker.com
