Marie Emma Matlick, 86, Klamath Falls, died Saturday in Klamath Falls.

She was born in Columbus, Nebraksa to August and Jennie Boetteher. She was raised in Columbus nd was one of 11 children.

She was married to Joseph Matlick, in Council Bluffs, Iowa in 1921. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974.

In 1937, they moved to Klamath Falls, where her husband worked for a railroad. They owned and operated the Eastside Grocery Store for nine years.

THey enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mrs. Matlick was a long-time member of Lady Trainsmen and The Degree of Honor.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Violet Matlick Jr. and Dean and Verna Matlick, all of Klamath Falls; sister, Dorothy Meays, San Jacinto, CA; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
