Obituary from "The Pryor Creek Clipper," dated Thursday, April 15, 1915, page 1:

"AT REST - T.J. "Jack" McPherson, died at his home in the Vann hotel building, after an illness of several months, on April 10, 1915, from Bright's disease. He was born in Stilwell, Okla., March 15, 1880, aged 35 years, 3 months, and 5 days. He was married to Miss Ada Archer Vann, a daughter of Col. D.W. Vann and Clarinda Rowe Vann, on December 17, 1903, and to this union 3 children, 2 of whom are still living: Alyne, age 9, and Thomas Owen, age 7. Remains were laid to rest in the Vann cemetery. He leaves a wife, two children, one sister, Mrs. Susie Peak, of Southwest City, Mo., and one brother, W.R. McPherson, of Stilwell, Okla., an aged father and a host of friends to mourn his departure."
